The Blue Ball Inn Sidmouth, Sidmouth

The hotel displays beautiful local art on its walls which is available for purchase, and the rooms have been recently refurbished featuring modern bathrooms. However, cleanliness was an issue as the rooms weren't tidied, and I had to track down the housekeeper for fresh towels. The service was attentive, with good room service and housekeeping, but laundry could be more efficient. The location offers dining options both in the main restaurant and pub, although the presence of the Landlord in the pub was a bit intrusive to me. The restaurant experience was excellent, especially in the evenings, while dining alone instead of in the main restaurant was a downside. The dining experience was pleasurable, with generous portions offered. Facilities are adequate, but improvements in maintaining room cleanliness are necessary.

The hotel offers a good breakfast with local art displayed for sale, but the warm rooms required requesting new towels from the housekeeper. Overall, a cozy stay with a few inconveniences.
